Tool Manufacturing Designer – Full-time

This is a full-time on-site role at FSG TOOL & DIE LIMITED in Llantrisant. The Tool Manufacturing Designer will be responsible for designing and engineering tools. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed tool designs and fully tolerance drawings, collaborating with the Manufacturing and Sales team, and ensuring the quality and precision of the designed tools and components.

Qualifications

• Design skills to include Piece part modelling with tolerance drawings, Full assemblies and BOM’s.
• Creating accurate and detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks, from design briefs, concepts, or client drawings.
• Academic background in engineering or time-served equivalent would be an advantage.
• Modifying and up issuing existing designs based on customer feedback or material changes.
• Maintaining version control and accurate records of all design files using PDM systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Site visits and engaging with customers during Design reviews.
• Experience designing or working on Press tooling, Moulding Tools and Forming tools would be an advantage.
